Living In A Godless Trump Theocracy
Religious Right Christians are Intent On Destroying Democracy
America stands at the precipice of theocracy, pushed there by the most spectacular moral collapse in the history of organized religion. The Christian Right has incinerated every principle they once claimed sacred, prostrating themselves before the golden calf of political power and the most morally bankrupt president in American history. This isn't mere hypocrisy—it's a calculated act of national vandalism, executed by zealots who've discovered that the fastest path to dominion runs straight through the Constitution's corpse.
The evidence of our theocratic drift isn't subtle. Louisiana passed a law mandating the Ten Commandments in every public school classroom—a constitutional abomination so brazen that federal courts immediately struck it down. The state's response? Attorney General Liz Murrill and Governor Jeff Landry are appealing with the fervor of true believers, burning taxpayer money to impose their theology on captive students. Their message is clear: constitutional rights are obstacles to be overcome, not principles to be respected.
This is the new Christian nationalism: lawless, shameless, and utterly contemptuous of the pluralistic democracy it seeks to replace. Texas deploys school chaplains to counsel vulnerable children. Florida transforms libraries into ideological battlegrounds, banning books that acknowledge LGBTQ+ existence while mandating that slavery be taught as beneficial job training. Oklahoma's education chief demands teachers use the Bible as a textbook, apparently unaware that public schools aren't Sunday schools funded by taxpayers.
